Kristi Behrend’s calm, friendly demeanor makes you want to sit and talk with her all morning. Who would guess that within this easy-going soul a determined athlete is ready to jump up and take her mark?
Until this last March, Kristi wouldn’t have thought so. She laughs and describes herself as a “total non-athlete, even as a kid and in high school and college.” So she was delighted when she began working with Kristin Rotert, AMFC Personal Trainer, who helped unleash Kristi’s inner-locomotive engine. She appreciates the accountability required of her through training and she loves how Kristen keeps “changing it up” so that she doesn’t get bored.
Kristi’s primary goals for personal training were to build up enough energy and stamina to keep up with her boys, Grant age 9, Adam age 7 and Cole age 2; to lose 60lbs before an August family wedding; and to be healthy and feel better.
Now, five months later, Kristi is happy that she’s lost 50lbs and still has time to get closer to her original weight loss target before the wedding. More important though, are the small things: being able to wrap a towel around, climbing the 3 flights of stairs at her job as a full-time nurse in ICU at the VA hospital without getting winded, having more energy for more fun and games during camping with her husband Mike and the boys.
