McKennan Fitness Center Management to Transition to GreatLIFE

Dear Fitness Center Members,

We are reaching out to inform you that the Avera McKennan Fitness Center will transition the management of its operations to GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness Club on Dec. 1, 2024.

Avera McKennan leadership arrived at this decision in response to changes in the fitness industry and consumer preferences. We thank Power Wellness for their management of our fitness center, and the great services they provided our employees and members over the past 27 years and look forward to the enhanced benefits our members will have in the future.

As an organization focused on providing comprehensive health and well-being services to our communities, Avera is pleased to continue offering fitness services through GreatLIFE at the facility, which will be known as Avera McKennan Fitness Center and GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness Club. The Avera outpatient physical therapy will remain open at the current location within the facility, and therapists will still have access to the pool and the entire facility for therapy.

We invite you to continue your fitness center journey by signing up for a GreatLIFE membership. You’ll have access to other GreatLIFE fitness centers, as well as an option for combined golf and fitness membership plus several GreatLIFE member benefits. Please review the attached information for details. We realize there are many questions you may have in addition to what we have included in this communication, and to help, GreatLIFE representatives will be in the lobby during the month of November to answer questions and assist with GreatLIFE membership sign up.

Your November monthly dues will be drawn as customary, and membership will continue through Nov. 30, 2024. Individuals with an annual membership or any ancillary service (i.e. personal training, massage, swim lessons, etc.) who have a remaining credit will be reimbursed the remaining balance by check by Dec. 31, 2024. On account house charges will no longer be available effective end of day business Nov. 1, 2024.
